Limited spots are available for our afterschool program! Designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade, our program gives kids a place to explore, learn, have loads of fun and socialize in an entertaining and educational environment.

We’ve voluntarily built our program to match licensed-center standards for ratios, background checks, and staff training, because we think you deserve to know exactly what protects your child.

We staff to the same ratios as Virginia’s licensed centers, and adhere to a rigorous vetting and safety training program for all staff.

Safety and First Aid

Our staff are all CPR certified, First Aid certified, Bloodborne Pathogen trained, TB tested, and have gone through emergency preparedness training to ensure the safety of all children in our care.

Background Checked

Our staff are all Background checked, and Central Registry searched to make sure that everyone who has access to the children in our care has a clean history.

Transportation

Transportation by bus from Deep Creek Central Elementary. Children will be greeted by staff at the bus and walked into the facility.

What to Expect

At The Town Square Play Cafe, we want to provide the best experience possible to the most children possible. Here are a few ways we intend to do that.

BACKGROUND CHECKED STAFF: Each after school program staff member has completed a both a background check and a child registry check to make sure that they are cleared for access to children in our care.
MEDICAL: Our staff is CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certified. In addition, each staff member has been TB tested to ensure safe interactions. We keep first aid supplies as well as rescue devices on site and staff are trained in their use.
MEDICATION: We will not administer prescription or over-the-counter medications. Children requiring afternoon medication must receive their afternoon dose at school before boarding the bus. We will, however, process care plans for children who have emergency/rescue medication needs.
TRANSPORTATION: Bus service from Deep Creek Central Elementary is available and can be arranged through the school or the transportation department. Staff will greet the children at the bus and walk them into the facility.
SNACK: Children will be provided with a basic snack upon arrival to the after school program to make sure they are fueled up for fun!
SCHEDULE: We will operate from bus drop off until 6pm on all full-length school days. Weeks with 5 days of care will be charged the rate of $125 per week. Weeks with less care days will be reduced to the appropriate pro-rated amount.

How to Register

To register, click “register now” and pay the annual registration fee of $100. Once we receive your registration fee, we will email you a registration packet with all required paperwork. After the paperwork is returned to us via email, we will confirm your enrollment.
